Strepsils Intensiv cherry and mint, oropharyngeal spray, solution, 8.75 mg/dose, 15 ml, Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare

Indications:
Strepsils Intensive Cherry and Mint is used in adults aged 18 years and over for the short-term relief of symptoms caused by sore throats, such as red throat, pain, difficulty swallowing and swelling. The active substance is flurbiprofen. Flurbiprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which work by changing the way the body responds to pain, inflammation and fever.

Contraindications:
Do not take Strepsils Intensive Cherries and Mint:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to flurbiprofen, to other NSAIDs, acetylsalicylic acid or to any of the other components of the medicine mentioned.

Precautions :
Before taking Strepsils Intensiv Cherries and Mint, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine

- Do not take this medicine if you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
- Unless your doctor advises you otherwise, avoid this medicine if you are in the first 6 months of pregnancy or if you are breastfeeding.

This medicine belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which can affect fertility in women. This effect is reversible when the drug is discontinued.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
This medicine should not affect your ability to drive or use machines. However, dizziness and visual disturbances are possible side effects after taking NSAIDs. If you are affected, do not drive or use machines.

Administration method:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as recommended by your doctor or pharmacist. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Recommended dose:
Adults aged 18 and over:
A dose of 3 puffs in the back of the throat every 3-6 hours as needed, up to a maximum of 5 doses in a 24 hour period.

One dose (3 puffs) contains flurbiprofen 8.75 mg.

Do not use this medicine in children or adolescents under 18 years of age.

For oropharyngeal use only.

- Spray only on the back of the neck.
- Do not inhale while spraying.
- Do not administer more than 5 doses (15 sprays) in 24 hours.

Strepsils Intensive Cherries and Mint is for short-term use only.

Composition:
- The active substance is flurbiprofen. One dose (3 puffs) contains flurbiprofen 8.75 mg, corresponding to flurbiprofen 16.2 mg/ml.
- The other components are: betadex, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, citric acid monohydrate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), sodium hydroxide, mint flavor (contains flavoring substance(s), preparation(s) ) flavoring(s), propylene glycol (E1520) and glyceryl triacetate (Triacetin) (E1518)), cherry flavor (contains flavoring substance(s), flavoring preparation(s), propylene glycol (E1520) and water) , N-2,3-trimethyl-2-isopropylbutanamide, saccharin sodium, hydroxypropylbetadex and purified water.
