Konjac flour 100gr - Fit Food
Konjac is an edible root of an Asian tree of the same name. It is a gluten-free food, 100% natural and does not cause allergies. It has almost no calories and absorbs up to 100 times its weight in water (70 times more than oat bran). Konjac is, therefore, an ideal food that fills us up without bringing us too many calories!
In addition to the feeling of satiety, konjac does not influence blood sugar and cholesterol because glucomannan fibers absorb water efficiently in the digestive tract and decrease the absorption of carbohydrates. You can buy konjac root in the form of a dietary supplement, Konjac noodles and others, or extremely low-calorie flour. You can lose almost 6 kilograms in eight weeks if you include konjac in your daily diet.
Konjac flour is ideal for thickening various sauces, puddings, gelatin preparations, for improving the texture of bread dough, but also for seed flour cakes.
100 gr of Konjac flour can thicken approximately 25-30 l of liquid.
Way of ussage:
- In the preparation of dishes with low sauce: a grated teaspoon of flour is used per 500-700ml.
- In the preparation of puddings: add 1 and a half teaspoons of sifted flour to 500 ml of water/milk.
- In the preparation of various doughs, 1 teaspoon of Konjac flour is used.
It is recommended that , before being added to the hot dish, Konjac flour should be mixed with a hard ingredient (coarse salt, sweetener, etc.).
For cold thickening, proceed in a similar manner, but the action time must vary between 20-40 minutes.
Konjac flour does NOT contain GLUTEN, has no taste and smell and can be included in any diet.
