Solpadeine, 12 tablets, Perrigo
Solpadeine effervescent tablets are recommended for the rapid relief of pain that occurs in rheumatism, sciatica and lumbago.
They are also recommended for the treatment of headaches, migraines, menstrual pain, dislocations, toothache, neuralgia, sinusitis, sore throat and fevers, as well as to relieve the symptoms of colds and flu.
Composition:
Each effervescent tablet contains paracetamol 500 mg, codeine phosphate hemihydrate 8 mg and caffeine 30 mg.
How to use:
- Solpadeine tablets dissolve in water
- Adults: Administer 2 tablets dissolved in a glass of water, 1-4 times a day, if necessary. The administration will not be repeated at an interval of less than 4 hours or will not exceed 4 doses (8 tablets) in 24 hours
- Children (7-12 years): 1/2 tablet up to 1 tablet, dissolved in a glass of water, 1-4 times a day. The administration will not be repeated at an interval of less than 4 hours. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours. It is not recommended for children under 7 years of age
- Children should not be given Solpadeine for more than 3 days without medical advice
- If symptoms persist, consult your doctor
- Do not exceed the prescribed dose
- If you exceed the recommended dose, consult your doctor immediately, even if you do not feel unwell.
Contraindications:
Do not use Solpadeine
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to paracetamol, caffeine, codeine, other opioid analgesics or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- in children under 12 years of age.
Precautions:
Before using Solpadeine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
- Epidemiological studies in pregnant women have not revealed toxic effects of paracetamol at the recommended doses, however, codeine is not recommended during pregnancy. Therefore, Solpadeine is not recommended during pregnancy
- Paracetamol and caffeine are excreted in breast milk, but not in clinically significant quantities
- Do not take codeine during breast-feeding. Codeine and morphine pass into breast milk.
Driving and using machines:
- Solpadeine may cause dizziness or drowsiness
- You should not drive or use machines until you know how the administration of this medicine affects you.
