Ibuprofen 400, 50 tablets, Stada

The drug belongs to the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory/analgesic drugs.

Indications:

It is used to treat pain and inflammation in

• acute arthritis, including gout attacks
• chronic arthritis, especially rheumatoid arthritis (chronic polyarthritis)
• ankylosing spondylitis (Morbus Bechterev) and other inflammatory rheumatic diseases of the spine
• irritative states that occur in degenerative diseases of the joints and spine (arthrosis and spondyloarthrosis)
• soft tissue rheumatism
• painful swelling or inflammation due to injuries.

How to use:

• Adults and adolescents aged 15 years and over: the recommended dose ranges from 1200 mg (3 tablets) to 2400 mg (6 tablets) per day
• The maximum single dose should not exceed 800 mg (2 tablets)
• The interval between individual doses should be at least 4-6 hours
• Do not use high doses or for long periods of time without consulting a doctor. If pain persists or complications occur, consult a doctor
• In rheumatic diseases, it may be necessary to take the medicine for a longer period of time, at the discretion of the doctor
• Undesirable effects can be minimised by administering the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control the symptoms (see section 4.4)
• The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient water and should not be taken on an empty stomach
• Patients with stomach problems are advised to take the medicine during meals.

Warnings:

• The drug is contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy
• During the first and second trimester, the drug should not be administered unless clearly necessary
• COX inhibitors may cause a decrease in female fertility by affecting ovulation (reversible, disappears after stopping treatment)
• During breastfeeding, the drug can only be used for the short-term treatment of pain or fever
• The drug is contraindicated in children and adolescents under 15 years of age
• Caution is required in elderly patients, in patients with renal and/or hepatic insufficiency
• The possible side effects of the drug are fatigue and dizziness, which may affect the ability to drive or use machines (especially in combination with alcohol)
• Do not drink alcohol.
