Description
Vigantoletten ® 1000 is a drug in the form of tablets whose active substance is vitamin D (cholecalciferol), which is important in the process of bone formation. Each tablet of the drug contains 25 μg of vitamin D, corresponding to 1000 IU Vigantoletten ® 1000 vitamin D tablets are used to prevent deficiencies of this important vitamin.
Vitamin D is produced by the body in the skin under the influence of UV radiation and can also be obtained from food. Vitamin D deficiency is accompanied by rickets, i.e. bone calcification disorders and osteomalacia associated with the loss of calcium from the bones.
Vitamin D Vigantoletten ® 1000 - indications for use
According to the leaflet, Vigantoletten ® 1000, tablets (90 pcs) is indicated for use for:
- prevention of rickets and osteomalacia in children and adults,
- prevention of diseases with a risk of vitamin D deficiency in children and adults,
- prevention of vitamin D deficiency in children and adults,
- supportive treatment for osteoporosis in adults.
The drug in vitamin D tablets Vigantoletten ® 1000 IU is suitable for use in the prevention of deficiencies in the whole family. The preparation can be used in newborns, infants and small children only under medical supervision.
