What is Ginkgo biloba?
Ginkgo biloba, also known as ginkgo biloba, is a tree with characteristic fan-shaped leaves belonging to the Ginkgoaceae family. The original origin of the plant is China, from where it spread to other parts of Asia - Korea and Japan, and eventually gained popularity on other continents. Ginkgo leaves have a long history of use and were already used in Chinese medicine, where they were consumed as medicinal infusions.
Ginkgo biloba contains many valuable ingredients, such as rutin, quercetin, kaempferol and isorhamnetin, which belong to a wider group of flavonoid glycosides, as well as ginkgolides and bilobalides belonging to the group of terpene lactones. Both groups of compounds are considered the main biologically active ingredients that give ginkgo biloba unique, health-promoting properties.
It does not contain ingredients of animal origin , which makes it a suitable product for vegans . The product does not contain artificial technological additives , preservatives or colorings .
