The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.it team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Dolgit cream is a medicinal product used for the treatment of local pain and inflammation, with ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) recognized for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, as the active substance. It is intended for topical application and is indicated for the treatment of soft tissue conditions near the joints, such as tendinitis, contusions and sprains.
Forms of release
Dolgit is available as a cream or patches, designed for dermal application. Each gram of cream contains 50 mg ibuprofen, providing a concentrated dose of active substance for the treatment of local pain and inflammation.
This delivery form ensures rapid absorption and easy application directly to the affected area, providing fast relief of symptoms.
Indications for use
Dolgit is recommended for the topical treatment of the following conditions:
- Inflammation and swelling of the soft tissues around joints, including tendons, bursae, tendon sheaths, ligaments and joint capsules
- Sports traumas and minor injuries such as concussions, sprains and strains
- Treatment of pain in degenerative joint diseases, rheumatic diseases of the peripheral joints and spine
Dosage regimen
Dolgit cream for adults and teenagers over 14 years of age is applied 3 times a day to the painful area.
The amount of cream used depends on the size of the affected area, and a 4-10 cm strip of cream is recommended for application (about 2-5 grams of cream, equivalent to 100-250 mg of ibuprofen).
It is important to stick to the maximum daily dose of 15 grams of cream, equivalent to 750 mg of ibuprofen.
Contraindications
Dolgit is not recommended in the following situations:
- Allergy to ibuprofen or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and any of the inactive ingredients in the cream
- Apply to open sores, inflammations, skin infections, eczema or mucous membranes
It is important that Dolgit is used with caution by patients with a history of bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps or other chronic respiratory conditions, as they are prone to respiratory adverse reactions (bronchospasm).
Features of use
For maximum safety, a few recommendations for using Dolgit should be followed:
- If a rash develops, use should be discontinued immediately
- Avoid exposing the treated area to strong light sources (sun, tanning lamps) during the treatment and for one day after treatment
- If symptoms persist or worsen after 3 days of treatment, a doctor should be consulted.
Side-effects
Like all medicines, Dolgit can cause side effects, although these are rare and depend on individual sensitivity. Possible side effects include:
- Local reactions on the skin, such as redness, itching, burning and rashes
- More severe allergic reactions such as contact dermatitis, angioedema or bronchospasm, especially in people with a history of allergies
- Severe skin reactions such as exfoliative dermatitis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis. These are very rare, but require immediate discontinuation of treatment and medical advice.
Interactions with other medicines and foods
Although significant drug interactions are unlikely with topical use of ibuprofen, caution should be exercised when used concomitantly with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as they may increase the risk of side effects.
You should tell your doctor if you are using or have recently used any other medicines.
Overdose
In case of accidental overdose, the cream should be removed from the skin and washed off with water. If accidental ingestion occurs, emergency medical advice should be sought as there is no specific antidote.
Storage conditions
Dolgit should be stored at temperatures up to 25°C, away from moisture and direct light. After opening the tube, the shelf life is 1 year. The product should also be kept out of the reach of children and stored in a safe place to prevent accidental ingestion.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I use Dolgit during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
In the last 3 months of pregnancy, Dolgit is contraindicated, as the use of ibuprofen may harm the fetus, increasing the risk of birth complications. In the first 6 months of pregnancy, the use of this medicine is allowed only if absolutely necessary and under the supervision of a doctor, and the treatment should be as short as possible and with the minimum effective dose.
During breastfeeding, ibuprofen applied topically is not known to have any adverse effects on the infant, as systemic absorption is very low.
How long can I use Dolgit?
Dolgit is intended for short-term use for a maximum of 2-3 weeks. If symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.
Can I apply bandages while using Dolgit cream?
It is not recommended to apply occlusive bandages, which do not allow air to pass over the area treated with Dolgit cream, as they may increase the absorption of ibuprofen into the skin and therefore the risk of side effects.
