- Local pain and inflammation: Aescin gel can be applied to affected areas to reduce pain and inflammation in the lower limbs.
Dosage regimen
Dosage varies depending on the form of release and the purpose of use:
Film-coated tablets - The usual dose is 2 tablets of Aescin 3 times a day, preferably after a meal, with a glass of water. After 2-3 months of treatment, you can switch to a maintenance dose of 2 tablets twice a day.
Gel for external use - Apply a thin layer of gel to the affected area 3 to 5 times a day. It is important to gently massage the gel into the skin to facilitate absorption of the active ingredients.
Contraindications
Aescin is not recommended in the following situations:
- Allergies to alpha-sescin, heparin, salicylates or any of the excipients
- Severe kidney disease: alpha-escin may impair kidney function and is contraindicated in patients with kidney failure
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid using the drug without doctor's advice
