Glucomannan is a natural, water-soluble dietary fiber obtained from the roots of Konjac (Amorphophallus konjak), also known as dzido. This plant is native to Africa and Asia, although it is now also common in the Caribbean and Latin America. There are over 600 known varieties of yams, 95% of which are still cultivated in Africa. Glucomannan makes up about 40% of the dry weight of the root, native to Southeast Asia. It has a long history of use in herbal blends and traditional dishes such as tofu and pasta. Glucomannan has a unique ability to absorb water and is one of the most viscous dietary fibers.

Recommended dose:
