Description
Xylorin is a medicine for colds of various origins in the form of a convenient nasal spray. The active substance of the preparation is xylometazoline hydrochloride, which causes spasm of the small nasal arteries, reducing the swelling and congestion of the nasal mucosa, which leads to its unclogging by reducing the amount of residual secretion and thus facilitates nasal breathing.
When to use Xylorin Runny Nose Spray?
Xylorin can be used not only for a runny nose during a cold, but also for allergic rhinitis or for the treatment of sinusitis. The drug can also be used as an adjuvant in the treatment of otitis media resulting from a cold.
After spraying the drug on the nasal mucosa, local vasoconstriction occurs after 2-10 minutes and lasts up to 12 hours. The preparation in the form of a nasal spray can be used by children over 6 years old and adults and is more convenient to use than ordinary drops for a runny nose. One package contains approximately 200 doses of solution.
