K-Pak Cuticle Sealer closes the cuticle and restores the natural pH. Keeping the hair in an alkaline coating is extremely damaging to the hair strand, and is similar to bleaching - the same alkaline process. Step 2 restores the hair's natural pH of 4.5-5.5, and closes the cuticle opened by the alkaline process.
