Stimulation Phase and Collection Phase.

When babies breastfeed, start with a quick suction to stimulate your milk, relax and let it flow. After you let the milk flow, the baby begins to drink the milk more slowly with slower and deeper suctions. To stimulate this natural rhythm, the Lansinoh Simple Compact Electric Breast Pump offers two phases – the stimulation phase and the collection phase.

The Stimulation Phase has a rapid pumping style that mimics the quick, short sucking baby uses to initiate milk flow.
The Collection Phase mimics the slow, deep suction of feeding with 5 adjustable suction levels that can be adjusted for your comfort.
When you turn on the breast pump, it will start in the stimulation phase, level 3 and automatically change to the collection phase after 2 minutes which means you don't even have to press a button (if you don't want to). You can switch to the Collection Phase at any time if milk starts to flow before the 2 minute transition.

It closes automatically if the pump is not used for more than 60 minutes.

The Lansinoh Compact Single Electric Breast Pump comes with a standard size of ComfortFit™ silicone breast pads, which are soft and thin around the edge to mold around the breast.

The Simple Compact Electric Breast Pump can be attached to Lansinoh Milk Storage Bags allowing you to save time and prevent the disaster of transferring milk to avoid spillage by collecting it directly into the storage container. These can also be great when you don't have enough space for a storage container.
