Tantum Rosa ® is a transparent, colorless solution with a characteristic rose scent. The drug is intended for vaginal use in the local treatment of conditions and symptoms such as pain, burning, itching, redness, vaginal discharge, swelling in the area of the external genitalia and vagina, resulting from vulvovaginitis and cervicitis of various origins.
How does Tantum Rosa ® with benzidamine 1 mg/ml work?
Tantum Rosa ® is used vaginally and on the mucous membrane of the external genital organs. The active substance of Tantum Rosa ® 1 mg/ml is benzydamine, which belongs to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, as well as a local anesthetic and disinfectant. When applied locally, benzydamine is well absorbed, reaching high concentrations in tissues affected by inflammation. It provides a quick analgesic effect, visible from the first use of the drug. Benzidamine treatment does not affect the natural vaginal flora (it does not affect Lactobacillus acidophilus strains). The drug is safe for pregnant women, after childbirth and during breastfeeding.
Tantum Rosa ® in the form of a ready-to-use solution in bottles allows easy application of the drug. Disposable applicators ensure comfort and high hygiene in use. The pleasant rose scent leaves a feeling of freshness.
