The active substance of Strepsils ® Intensive sugar-free lozenges with orange flavor is flurbiprofen. This compound is classified as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It has strong analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. Flurbiprofen has a double effect : on the one hand, it relieves even severe pain, and on the other hand, it fights the inflammation that causes it. Each pill contains 8.75 mg of flurbiprofen - the maximum dose available without a prescription .
The soothing and covering effect of Strepsils ® Intensive without sugar starts 2 minutes after application and lasts up to 4 hours. The package contains 24 orange pills indicated for the short-term symptomatic treatment of severe throat pain.
