Vitreal S ophthalmic suspension, 2 ml, Fidia Farmaceutici

Properties:
- is a sterile ophthalmic suspension containing triamcinolone acetonide 4.0%;
- the deposition of microparticles of triamcinolone acetonide in the vitreous body determines its opacification, facilitating its removal.

Way of ussage:
Intravitreal administration during a vitrectomy operation. Vitreal S must be administered by an ophthalmologist specialized in intravitreal injections under aseptic conditions.
Before surgery, an appropriate anesthetic and a broad-spectrum microbicide are generally administered. Your doctor will be able to adjust the dose depending on the progress of the surgery.
Vitreal S is aspirated during the surgical procedure. At the end of the procedure, any Vitreal S residues must be removed by suction or prolonged irrigation.

Ingredients:
Main component: Triamcinolone acetonide micronized 4.0%.
Other components: monobasic sodium phosphate, dibasic sodium phosphate, sodium chloride, distilled water.

Precautions:
The product is intended for intravitreal use only during a vitrectomy operation. Do not use the product intravenously or intramuscularly or as an anti-inflammatory therapy.
The product is for single use. The amount in one vial can be used for a single patient during a single surgical procedure at the end of which the residual contents of the vial must be discarded. Reusing the residual content can lead to an ophthalmic infection and/or injury to the patient.
Before using Vitreal S during vitrectomy surgery, check if there are interactions between triamcinolone acetonide and other drugs administered to the patient.
Do not use the product if the bottle is damaged.
Do not use the product if agglomerates are present in the bottle after vigorous shaking.
The patient must be informed that after the operation and until the visual acuity returns to normal, it is forbidden to drive vehicles or carry out an activity on machines that present danger.
Do not leave the product within the reach of children.
