Car seat with integrated isofix Pipa Urban, 40-75 cm, Caviar, Nuna

The light shell, weighing only 3.3 kg, is installed in the car thanks to an advanced ISOFIX system. The shell has no base, and the isofix connectors are directly integrated into the shell, so it can be installed quickly and easily both in the personal car and in the taxi, when you travel.

The PIPA urban shell is R129 certified, this being a new EU Safety Regulation for car seats for children and classifying the seats according to the child's height (cm).

Why is R129 safer?

It offers better protection for the head, neck and spine of the little one because the seats are subjected to additional tests for frontal impact (speed of 50 km/h), side impact (speed of 24 km/h) and rear impact (speed of 30 km/h h)

It uses high-tech, high-performance Q-type mannequins with extremely precise and sensitive sensors, specially designed to simulate the fragility of a newborn's body. The sensors are located in critical areas: head, neck, chest, pelvis

Require that the little ones be transported in rear-facing mode up to 15 months - Traveling in rear-facing mode reduces the force of the impact, thus protecting the neck and spine of the little one 5 times more than forward facing.
It is additionally tested for side impact, according to ECE R129, and besides that, Nuna applies its own additional impact tests based on consumers using Stiftung Warentest** standards. Based on these tests, the shell proved to be 40% safer using either of the two installation methods.

The ISOFIX of the clamshell is adjustable according to the car seat so that it offers the best angle of inclination and, implicitly, the most correct position for the newborn.
The quick release of isofix, with one hand, makes the shell extremely practical and allows installation in just a few seconds. In addition, the soica can be installed in the car without belts and is provided with indicators for installation in belts, positioned on the side and at the back. It is important to state that, regardless of the way of installing the seat in the car (isofix or belts), the safety offered is the same.
Aeroflex type foam, extremely light, is intelligently constructed so that it absorbs shocks and spreads the energy equally, in case of impact.

The headrest and the insert are made of Merino wool and Lyocell fiber, which have the role of regulating humidity and controlling body temperature very well. The "Dream drape" canopy offers intimacy to the little one for priceless moments of peace - it has SPF 50+ protection against the sun's rays and can be adjusted in two positions, but it also has a gemulet for monitoring the baby.
It is compatible with all strollers from the Nuna range and has a transport handle made of ecological leather, with a pleasant appearance, for a better grip.
All covers and inserts are removable and machine washable.
