Description
Sebidin® is a medicine indicated for pharyngitis and laryngitis . Each pill contains two active substances: chlorhexidine dihydrochloride and vitamin C in appropriately selected doses for adults and children over 12 years of age.
Sebidin ® throat tablets 5 mg + 50 mg, 20 pcs
Chlorhexidine has antibacterial properties . Gram positive bacteria Streptococcus mutans , Streptococcus salivarius or streptococci are particularly sensitive. It is effective against Gram-negative bacteria and the yeast Candida albicans . The antiseptic effect of chlorhexidine appears after about 5 minutes.
When sucking the tablet, chlorhexidine is slowly released into the saliva and combines with the surface of the oral mucosa and tongue due to the negative charge, then it is slowly released again into the saliva and has an antibacterial effect.
Sebidin ® supplements the increased demand for vitamin C that occurs in inflammation of the mucous membrane of the throat and larynx. Vitamin C is involved in the process of collagen formation and tissue regeneration.
Sebidin ® in the form of lozenges with a candy flavor can be used in the local treatment of symptoms of inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa and larynx.
