Pelafen syrup, 20 mg/2.5 ml, 100 ml, Phytopharm

Indications:
Pelafen 20 mg/2.5 ml syrup contains dried geranium root extract. Pelafen 20 mg/2.5 ml syrup is a traditional herbal medicine used for the symptomatic treatment of colds.

It is a herbal medicine with traditional use, used for the specified therapeutic indication exclusively on the basis of long-term use.

Pelafen 20 mg/2.5 ml syrup is recommended for adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of age.

You should talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or feel worse after 7 days of treatment.

Contraindications:
Do not use Pelafen 20 mg/2.5 ml syrup:
- if you are allergic to dry geranium root extract or any of the other components of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Pelafen 20 mg/2.5 ml syrup, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Due to the lack of sufficient data, use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
No studies on the effect on the ability to drive and use machines have been performed.

Administration method:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
Adolescents over 12 years old, adults and the elderly: 2.5 ml of syrup 3 times a day.

Use in children:
Children aged 6 to 11 years: 2.5 ml of syrup 2 times a day.

Administration to children under 6 years of age is not recommended.

Patients with renal and/or hepatic insufficiency:
No dose data are available for renal/hepatic impairment.

Composition:
The active substance is: Each ml of syrup contains 8 mg of extract (expressed as dry extract) (4-25:1) of geranium root (Pelargonium sidoides DC and/or Pelargonium reniforme Curt., radix).
Extraction solvent: ethyl alcohol 11% m/m.
The excipients are: maltodextrin, liquid maltitol E 965, liquid sorbitol (non-crystallized) E 420, potassium sorbate E 202, citric acid E 330, purified water.
