Hedussin syrup, 8.25 mg/ml, 100 ml, Phytopharm

Indications:
Hedussin syrup is a herbal medicine used as an expectorant in case of productive cough.
The medicine contains dry extract of ivy leaves.

Hedussin syrup is indicated for adults, adolescents and children from the age of 2 years.

You should talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or feel worse after 7 days of treatment.

Contraindications:
Do not use Hedussin syrup:
- if you are allergic to the dry extract of ivy leaves, to other plants of the Araliaceae (ivy) family or to any of the other components of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Hedussin syrup, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established.
Due to the lack of sufficient data, use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
No studies on the effect on the ability to drive and use machines have been performed.

Administration method:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:
6 ml of syrup twice a day;

Children aged 6 to 11 years:
4 ml of syrup twice a day;

Children aged 2 to 5 years:
2 ml of syrup twice a day.

Use in children:
Children aged 2-4 years who have a persistent or recurrent cough require medical diagnosis before treatment.
Administration to children under 2 years old is contraindicated (see the chapter "Do not use Hedussin syrup").

Administration method:
Use the measuring spoon with 2 and 4 ml graduations, included in the box
It is recommended that the 6 ml dose be taken as a full measuring spoon (4 ml) + half a measuring spoon (2 ml).
Shake the bottle before administration.

Composition:
The active substance is: - dry ivy leaf extract. Each ml of syrup contains 8.25 mg of dry ivy leaf extract (Hedera helix L., folium) (4-8:1). Extraction solvent: ethyl alcohol 30% m/m.
The excipients are: - liquid sorbitol (non-crystallized) (E 420), potassium sorbate (E202), xanthan gum (E415), anhydrous citric acid (E330), purified water.
