Indications:
Prospan effervescent cough tablets are part of the group: expectorants without combinations with antitussives, expectorants, herbs
It is used for the symptomatic treatment of long-lasting (chronic) inflammatory conditions of the bronchi and for acute inflammations of the respiratory tract accompanied by cough.

Composition:
The active substance is 30% (m/m) dry ivy leaf ethanolic extract (5-7.5:1) 65 mg.
The other components are: anhydrous citric acid, sodium hydrogen carbonate, anhydrous sodium carbonate, mannitol, simethicone, sodium saccharin, sodium cyclamate, sodium citrate, sorbitol, medium chain triglycerides, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, orange flavor.

Administration method:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The usual dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is one effervescent tablet 2 times a day (corresponding to 130 mg of dry ivy leaf extract daily).
Use in children and adolescents: the usual dose for children between 6 and 12 years of age is ½ effervescent tablet 3 times a day (corresponding to 97.5 mg of dry ivy leaf extract daily).
The tablet is administered after dissolution in a glass of water (approximately 200 ml).
Both cold (room temperature) and warm liquids can be used to dissolve the tablets.
Effervescent tablets can be divided into equal doses.

Contraindications:
Do not use Prospan effervescent tablets:
- if you are allergic to the dry extract of ivy leaves or to any of the other components of this medicine; in children under 6 years old.

Before using Prospan effervescent tablets, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
For safety reasons, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, the drugs will be administered only as directed by the doctor.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
The medicine does not negatively influence the ability to drive vehicles or use machines.
