• Centella asiatica oil stimulates collagen synthesis and is a recognized tissue regenerator. Anti-inflammatory and restorative with good results for skin irritated or affected by eczema, psoriasis. It is a good cicatrizer.
• The plant is native to India where it is called Gotu Kola and in the tropical islands of the Indian Ocean and grows wild in wet, swampy and dark places.
• In India Centella is called "tiger grass" due to the fact that Bengal tigers have often been observed rolling in areas where the plant grows immediately after being injured in fights.
• In Madagascar, the first studies were done on the therapeutic properties and constituents of the plant, especially due to the high content of triterpenic compounds.
• Two of the most important components from a therapeutic point of view are madecassosid and madecassic acid, named after the island of Madagascar.
• It is one of the most important herbs in Ayurvedic medicine.

By macerating the aerial parts of the plant in refined sunflower vegetable oil.
