Borage ( Borago officinalis L.) is a plant species native to Mediterranean countries. Its name is not due to its appearance, but to the fact that it emits a pleasant, refreshing smell of cucumbers. Now Foods borage oil dietary supplements are made using borage seed oil ( Borago officinalis ) which contains 25% gamma-linolenic acid. GLA is classified as an omega-6 fatty acid. Each capsule contains up to 1000 mg of valuable oil.
