Therapeutic indications:

Pathophysiology:
Pregnancy is a special condition, which induces specific changes in the body. They increase the need for vitamins, minerals and trace elements. 20-30% of pregnant women have deficiencies of vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Without prophylaxis, 75% of pregnant women would be deficient in at least one vitamin, which could affect the pregnancy (malformations, low birth weight, premature birth) and/or the mother's health (hypertension, preeclampsia, etc.). Administration should, ideally, start at least 1 - 2 months before conception (DTN malformations appear on days 21 - 28 after conception) and continue both during pregnancy and the postnatal period.

Mode of action:
The preconception role of folic acid and vitamin B12 in the prevention of neural tube, cardiac and urinary malformations, limb abnormalities, etc. is scientifically proven.
