It is called the "King of Honey" because it is difficult and requires a lot of work to obtain. Heather honey has the consistency of a thick jelly. In addition, the small number of plains in Poland means that it is only available in a few apiaries. It has a light brown color with a lighter or darker ruby shade and a pleasant warm smell due to the content of essential oils and 120 other substances derived from the nectar. It is characterized by a specific bitter and sharp taste, as well as a high content of enzymes and free amino acids.
Heather honey contains vitamins A, B and B6, amino acids and easily digestible iron. It contains a very large amount of growth hormones, neurohormones (choline and acetylcholine, folic, nicotinic and pantothenic acid) and up to 47 easily absorbable bioelements (including potassium, chlorine, phosphorus, calcium, sodium and magnesium). Contains inhubin.
