Description
Levopront is a syrup medicine for dry cough. The drug inhibits the cough reflex in the respiratory tract. The indication for use is the symptomatic treatment of non-productive cough, called dry cough. The syrup can be used for coughs in adults and children over 2 years old.
Levopront effectively stops dry cough of various origins, including:
- cough associated with upper and lower respiratory tract infections,
- cough due to lung cancer,
- cough due to whooping cough.
Levopront syrup contains the active substance levodropropizine, which has antitussive and bronchospasmodic properties. Importantly, it does not depress the respiratory center and does not disrupt the mucociliary clearance of the respiratory tract. It also does not interact with many drugs used for respiratory diseases1.
