Larofen for children, 100 ml, Laropharm

Indications:
- Larofen for children contains ibuprofen, a substance that belongs to the class of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. They alter the body's response to pain, inflammation and fever.
- Larofen for children is used to relieve fever and pain in infants and children aged 3 months to 12 years. Larofen for children relieves fever that may occur after vaccination or fever that occurs in various conditions.
- Larofen for children relieves mild to moderate pain (sore throat, toothache or teething pain, headache and other types of pain, such as those associated with dislocations, ear infections).
Composition:
The active substance is ibuprofen. One milliliter of oral suspension contains 20 mg of ibuprofen.
Administration method:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Pain or fever of other etiologies than post-vaccination (post-immunization).
Depending on the age of the child, the following doses are administered, using the dosing syringe:
- Children aged between 3-12 months 2.5 ml suspension (contain 50 mg ibuprofen) 6 - 8 hours
- Children aged 1-3 years 5 ml suspension (contain 100 mg ibuprofen) 6 - 8 hours
- Children aged 4-6 years 7.5 ml suspension (contain 150 mg ibuprofen) 6 - 8 hours
- Children aged 7-9 years 10 ml suspension (contain 200 mg ibuprofen) 6 - 8 hours
- Children aged 10-12 years 12.5 ml suspension (contain 250 mg ibuprofen) 6 - 8 hours
Children under 3 months of age
Larofen for children should not be given to children under 3 months of age, unless the doctor has recommended it.
Contraindications:
Do not give this medicine to children who:
- are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance (ibuprofen) or to any of the other components of this medicine.
- are in the last trimester of pregnancy (extremely rare cases in children under the age of 12).
Precautions:
Before using Larofen for children, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Do not use Larofen for children in the last trimester of pregnancy.
Driving vehicles and using machines:
Larofen for children can cause dizziness and visual disturbances. As a result, during the treatment, it is not recommended to drive vehicles and use machines.
