Klimadynon, 2.8 mg, 60 film-coated tablets, Bionorica

Indications:
Klimadynon 2.8 mg film-coated tablets is a herbal medicine indicated in adult women for the relief of menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and profuse sweating.

Contraindications:
Do not take Klimadynon:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Cimicifuga racemosa or to any of the other components of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Klimadynon, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
It is not recommended to use Klimadynon during pregnancy. When menopausal symptoms occur it is still possible to become pregnant, therefore it is recommended to use effective contraceptive measures during treatment with Klimadynon.
It is not known whether the active substance in Klimadynon is excreted in human milk. Klimadynon should not be used during breastfeeding.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, if you think you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
No studies on the effects on the ability to drive vehicles or use machines have been performed.

Administration method:
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
In adult menopausal women, the usual dose is one film-coated tablet twice a day, in the morning and in the evening (the maximum dose is 2 film-coated tablets per day).

Administration method:
For oral administration. The film-coated tablets are administered with a sufficient amount of liquid. Do not chew or suck.

Duration of treatment:
If symptoms persist during treatment with the drug, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Klimadynon should not be used for more than 6 months without a doctor's recommendation.

Use in children and adolescents:
There is no relevant use of Klimadynon film-coated tablets in children and adolescents for the given therapeutic indication.

Special categories of patients:
There are insufficient data on the recommended dose in patients with impaired renal/liver function.
Patients with a history of liver disease should not use Klimadynon without a doctor's recommendation.

Composition:
- The active substance is:
1 film-coated tablet contains: 2.8 mg dry extract of cimicifuga rhizome (Cimicifuga racemosa (L.) Nutt., rhizoma) (5-10:1)
Extraction solvent: ethanol 58% (V/V)
- The other components are: Calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate; ammonium methacrylate copolymer, type A, dispersion 30% (Eudragit RL 30D); red iron oxide (E 172); yellow iron oxide (E 172); lactose monohydrate; macrogol 6000; magnesium stearate (vegetable); potato starch; Sodium hydroxide; sorbic acid; talc; titanium dioxide (E171).
