Visine Classic eye drops, 15 ml, Johnson&Johnson
Indications:
Visine Classic is an eye decongestant in the form of a solution, which relieves edema and redness of the eyes in the context of eye allergies, minor irritations and non-specific or creeping conjunctivitis. Beneficial effects include relief of local burning sensations, irritation, eye itching, eye pain and excessive tearing.
Composition:
Visine Classic, eye drops, solution 0.05 g/100 ml The active substance is tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride.
The other components (excipients) are: sodium chloride, boric acid, disodium edetate, purified chloride.
Mode of administration:
The recommended dose is:
- Adults, adolescents and children older than 2 years
- The recommended dose is 1-2 drops in the affected eye (in the conjunctival sac) 2-3 times a day.
- Use in children under 2 years of age
- Visine Classic is contraindicated in this age category.
Contraindications:
- If you suffer from hypersensitivity (allergy) to tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride or any of the components of the medicine mentioned above.
- In children under 2 years of age.
- If you suffer from glaucoma. in this case Vișine Classic is used only with the advice and under the supervision of the ophthalmologist.
- If you take medicines from the group of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or tricyclic antidepressants.
Precautions:
Ask your doctor if you have;
-glaucoma;
- if you have eye infections, foreign bodies in the eyes or chemical burns of the eyes;
- if you have intense pain in the eye, headache, rapid decrease in vision, the sudden appearance of myodesopsias (points, lines, flying flies or other particles that may appear in the visual field), pronounced redness of the eyes, an exaggerated sensitivity of the eyes to light or double vision;
-severe heart disease including heart rhythm disorders, heart blood vessel disease, increases in blood pressure not controlled by medication, pheochromocytoma, an enlarged prostate, hyperthyroidism, diabetes (especially when diabetes is not adequately controlled) , rhinitis or keratoconjunctivitis sicca or in the case of treatments with monoamine oxidase inhibitors or other drugs with the potential to increase blood pressure.
If you wear soft contact lenses, the contact lenses should be removed before administering the drops and should not be reapplied earlier than 15 minutes.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Task:
Visine Classic is not recommended during pregnancy and in women of childbearing age who are not using contraceptive measures.
Breastfeeding:
There are no data on the elimination of tetrizoline hydrochloride in breast milk. Therefore, the use of tetrizoline should be avoided during breast-feeding.
Driving vehicles and using machines:
The ability to drive vehicles or use machines may be affected by visual disturbances and sensitivity to light. Wait until the visual disturbances disappear before driving or using machines
