Gastrotuss baby is a medical aid in the form of syrup intended for the treatment of gastroesophageal and/or laryngopharyngeal reflux in infants and children. It relieves the symptoms of diseases such as: acid or alkaline regurgitation, vomiting, heartburn, feeling of a foreign body in the throat, inflammation of the nasopharynx, belching, feeling of tension in the abdomen, cough and other diseases caused by gastroesophageal reflux. It helps to heal the damaged mucous membrane of the pharynx and esophagus.

How does the syrup work?

Gastrotuss baby contains magnesium alginate, a plant-based substance obtained from seaweed . In the acidic environment of the stomach, alginate creates a gel barrier on the surface of the gastric reservoir , but does not interfere in any way with the important events that take place in the body (for example, the mechanisms of digestion, the absorption of important nutrients, the influence of stool, etc.). This protective layer protects the esophagus from irritation caused by stomach acid. During reflux, the acidic contents of the stomach do not enter the esophagus, but a pH-neutral gel made of alginate. Other active ingredients are simethicone, which also acts against flatulence, and D-Panthenol, which supports the healing and regeneration of the lining of the esophagus and pharynx.

The syrup soothes irritations, banishes the unpleasant sensation of burning and irritation when coughing, limits bloating and belching and has regenerative and anti-inflammatory effects.

Dosage

• The syrup is suitable for children from childhood
• Infants up to 5 kg: 2.5-3 ml syrup
• Infants and children under 3 years: 5 ml
• Children up to 12 years: 10-20 ml of syrup, after meals and at bedtime, if the doctor does not recommend otherwise
• If the child vomits even after taking the medicine, give an additional 1 ml of the medicine
• The preparation does not contain gluten or lactose
