Xylitol, also known as birch sugar, is a natural sweetener found in its bark but also in various fruits and vegetables. It is the sweetest of all sugar substitutes and the taste is very similar to it. Unlike sugar, which has 4.1 kcal, Xylitol has only 2.4 kcal and a sweetening power equal to it.
Way of ussage:
- It is stable when baking, boiling or freezing.
- It is recommended for food preparation, for sweetening drinks, cakes, desserts, hot or cold dishes, liqueurs, compotes, etc.
- It is ideal for those who do not want or are not allowed to consume sugar because Xylitol does not cause the same increase in blood glucose levels as usual preparations.
