Naturally, turmeric rhizome contains only 5% biologically active curcuminoid ingredients, which are poorly digestible and insoluble in water. The bioavailability of powdered turmeric extracts is low due to low absorption from the intestine, rapid degradation in the liver, and low tissue concentration. Adding piperine from pepper does not increase active free curcuminoids in the blood. CuraMed is a liquid extract of turmeric standardized to contain 98% active curcuminoids, easily soluble in water and fat, which is of great importance for bioavailability.

CuraMed was developed using a new patented technology that encloses the active curcuminoids in microscopic vesicles called micelles, which makes curcumin much more absorbable than regular turmeric extract, even with the addition of piperine or in liposome form. One CuraMed 720 mg capsule corresponds to the consumption of approximately 12 g of curcumin extract (24 500 mg capsules) or 134 g of turmeric rhizome powder. The curcuminoids contained in turmeric are a powerful antioxidant and have broad health-promoting properties. Curcumin affects inflammation, muscle and joint pain, the nervous, digestive and immune systems, among others. It has a positive effect on the correct division of cells and protects them from damage.
