Properties:

• Vitamin D3 is also called the vitamin of the sun, as the human body manages to synthesize it in the skin, when it comes into contact with sunlight.
• A daily exposure of 10-15 minutes is sufficient for synthesis, during which the vitamin produced under the effect of sunlight can cover up to 80% of the daily requirement.
• In order to provide the body with a sufficiently high dose of vitamin D, a long exposure to the sun is not needed.
• A few hours of sitting at the beach during the summer vacation does not increase the amount of vitamin D in the skin.
• Despite the fact that our body absorbs vitamin D under the influence of the sun, the resources obtained in this way are quickly exhausted.
