Description
Daktarin medicated powder for spray on the skin is intended for use in the treatment of athlete's foot or interdigital mycosis. In addition, the drug is also indicated in the treatment of diaper rash and for preventive use as a shoe and sock agent to protect the feet against infection. The medicated powder is usually used in treatment in combination with Daktarin cream.
The active substance of the preparation is miconazole, which has an antifungal effect, among others, on dermatophytes and yeasts and an antibacterial effect on Gram-positive bacilli and cocci. Miconazole is also used in the treatment of secondary infected mycoses. The active substance contained in the medicinal powder usually eliminates the itching of the skin that accompanies infections caused by dermatophytes and yeasts. This symptom usually disappears before other signs of healing appear.
