What is D-mannose

D-mannose is a type of simple sugar, similar to glucose. It is found naturally in many fruits and vegetables, such as oranges, apples, peaches, broccoli and green beans. It can also be found in the human body. Our d-mannose supplement is made from silver birch bark.

D-mannose supplementation

Chemically, d-mannose is considered a simple sugar. Structurally, it is similar to glucose, but is absorbed to a lesser extent in the digestive tract. This explains its lower glycemic index. Compared to glucose, which is quickly absorbed, mannose must first be converted to fructose and then to glucose, which significantly weakens the response to insulin and reduces its effect on blood sugar levels. After mannose is absorbed by the intestines, it is not stored in the liver like glucose, but is filtered out of the body directly by the kidneys1.

Ingredients: D-mannose from Procystin ® silver birch bark (Betula pendula). Capsule composition: vegetable (vegetarian) cellulose.

Daily serving: 3 capsules once a day. Swallow the capsules and drink plenty of water after a meal.

Precautions: Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. A dietary supplement cannot be used as a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep in a dry and dark place at room temperature, out of the reach of small children.
