Procto-Glyvenol rectal cream, 50 mg + 20 mg/g, 30 g, Recordati

Procto-Glyvenol is used for the local treatment of external and internal hemorrhoids.

• Tribenoside acts locally on the causes of inflammation in the small blood vessels
• Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that quickly relieves itching, burning and pain caused by hemorrhoids.

Composition:

• The active substances are tribenoside and lidocaine
• One gram of rectal cream contains tribenoside 50 mg and anhydrous lidocaine hydrochloride 20 mg as lidocaine hydrochloride
• The other ingredients are: cetomacrogol 1000, cetyl alcohol, isopropyl palmitate, paraffin oil, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate (E 218), n-propyl p-hydroxybenzoate (E 216), sorbitan stearate, sorbitol solution, stearic acid, purified water.

How to use:

• Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure
• When symptoms are acute: Apply rectal cream locally 2 times a day (once in the morning and once in the evening)
• When symptoms have resolved: Apply rectal cream locally once a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose
• How long to use Procto-Glyvenol: You should use Procto-Glyvenol until your symptoms are gone. If your symptoms persist for more than a week, you should see a doctor. If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

Contraindications:

Do not use Procto-Glyvenol if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to tribenoside, lidocaine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Procto-Glyvenol.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
• You should not use Procto-Glyvenol in the first 3 months of pregnancy
• You can use Procto-Glyvenol from the 4th month of pregnancy or when breast-feeding, but only on the advice of a doctor; do not exceed the recommended dose.

Driving and using machines:

• Procto-Glyvenol does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
