Description
Corneregel ophthalmic gel 50 mg/g, 10 g
Indications:
Corneregel is an ophthalmic gel, quickly absorbed in the eye. The active substance is dexpanthenol.
Dexpanthenol is quickly transformed into pantothenic acid, which is a water-soluble vitamin that takes part in numerous metabolic processes in the form of coenzyme A.
Pantothenic acid has a trophic effect and stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts and the regeneration of damaged skin and mucous membranes.
- treatment of non-inflammatory corneal diseases (keratopathies), for example corneal dystrophy (nutritional disorders), corneal degeneration (regression), recurrent corneal erosions (flaking) and corneal lesions in contact lens wearers;
- as adjunctive treatment of corneal and ocular conjunctival lesions, thermal and chemical burns;
- the treatment of bacterial, viral or mycotic corneal infections, as an adjuvant medicine for the specific treatment of these corneal diseases.
Composition:
- The active substance is dexpanthenol. One gram of gel contains dexpanthenol 50 mg.
- The other components are: cetrimide, disodium edetate, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, purified water.
Administration method:
- Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- The recommended dose is one drop of Corneregel ophthalmic gel applied to the conjunctival sac 4 times a day, as well as before going to bed, depending on the severity and intensity of the manifestations.
- The duration of administration is not limited. You must use Corneregel until you notice an improvement in your symptoms.
- It is good to consult an ophthalmologist while using Corneregel, given that treatment with this medicine is normally long-term.
- To avoid contamination of the dropper tip and ophthalmic gel, when handling the tube, please do not touch the applicator tip with your fingers and do not touch the eye with the applicator tip. Replace the protective cap after each use.
Instructions for use
- Tilt your head back.
- Pull down the lower eyelid with the index finger of one hand and hold the tube vertically above the eye with the other hand (without touching the eye).
- Apply a drop of ophthalmic gel into the conjunctival sac.
- Keep the eye open while rotating it to ensure even distribution of the ophthalmic gel.
- The protective cover allows the tube to be kept in a vertical position. This facilitates the immediate and effective administration of Corneregel.
- If you feel that the effect of Corneregel is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist
Contraindications:
Do not use Corneregel:
- if you are allergic to dexpanthenol or any of the other components of this medicine.

Reviews
I suffer from dry eyes and itchy, burning eyelids and was therefore looking for a product that also cares for the eyelids, which I have found here. As I have to apply eye drops in the morning and evening, I use the gel before my afternoon nap, so the light film doesn't bother me.
I use the gel to regenerate a slightly damaged cornea as I wear contact lenses. This heals the cornea quite quickly and I am symptom-free within 2-3 days.
The gel is pain-relieving for corneal injuries. It is very good for dry eyes and inflammation. It does not smear like other gels. You can see clearly again relatively quickly. I always use it before going to sleep. It also cools well.
Great product, shipping was a little long as delivery time, but being in another country it can happen. All Ok.
Corneregel was recommended to me by my ophthalmologist after my Lasik operation. I get on very well with it and the dryness in my eyes is effectively remedied for hours.
This eye gel is used to moisturize the cornea for dry eyes or after eye operations. I use it at night for my dry eyes. My mother has to use it several times a day after cataract surgery.
I bought it for my mother who suffered a corneal injury that resulted in decreased visual acuity. The drops helped her in the healing process and she still uses it for proper lubrication of the eye. Thank you!
The gel is very beneficial for dry eyes because it feels cooling and refreshing. I have had very good experiences after cortisone treatment or during long periods of screen work when the eye dries out. According to my ophthalmologist, the gel can be used indefinitely. With proper hygiene and without touching the eyelid, the gel can be used for longer than six weeks after opening.
Helps very well against dry, irritated, itchy eyes. I use it mainly for irritated eyes caused by hay fever or in winter when the air is dry from heating. Recommended by an ophthalmologist.
My ophthalmologist prescribed the gel for me after a corneal injury. It helped well, after a few days I no longer had a "foreign body feeling" in my eye. The gel-like consistency helped me a lot with the application, unlike drops, I never missed anything. I would buy the product again at any time if necessary.
