Description
BACTIGRAS is tulle fabric gauze impregnated with fine white paraffin containing 0.5% chlorhexidine acetate. It is soft, non-sticky and allows the exudate to pass freely. Chlorhexidine is a light antiseptic that is slowly released from the dressing into the wound and is effective against a wide range of gram-positive bacteria and some gram-negative bacteria, including MRSA.
Indications: primary sutures - as prevention of infection, infected wounds or wounds with manifest infection, lacerations, abrasions and other wounds with loss of skin coverage, collection areas, skin grafts, pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic defects, dehiscences, minor burns (up to 10% of the surface).
Use
The cover is removed from the package and after removing the two white protective films, it is applied to the affected area. It is applied to the entire bottom of the wound so that it is in close contact with it. Bactigras should be covered with an absorbent bandage or fixed with a patch or bandage. The frequency of changes is 3 days, depending on the condition of the wound or if the secondary coating is infiltrated.
