Description
Aspirin Cardio 100mg, 30 tablets, Bayer
Therapeutic indications:
In mild or medium pain, for example in headache, toothache, dysmenorrhoea, inflammation, fever and colds.
Aspirin CARDIO 100mg inhibits the adhesion and aggregation of blood platelets (thrombocytes) and in this way prevents the formation of blood clots (thrombi) in progress (inhibition of platelet aggregation). Aspirin CARDIO 100 mg is used:
Caution: Aspirin should not be administered for a long time or in high doses without a doctor's recommendation. Aspirin acts as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic, antiplatelet agent.
Contraindications:
It is forbidden to take Aspirin when there is a high risk of bleeding.
Aspirin is administered only on the doctor's recommendation:
- in the case of simultaneous therapy with anticoagulant drugs (for example, coumarin derivatives, heparin)
- in glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
- in asthma or allergy to antirheumatic drugs and other allergenic substances
- in patients with chronic gastro-duodenal disorders, renal failure
- during pregnancy, especially in the last three months.
Composition:
1 tablet contains the active component: acetylsalicylic acid 100 mg.
Administration method:
Aspirin is administered to children and young people with conditions accompanied by fever only when indicated by the doctor, due to the possible occurrence of Reye's syndrome and only when other measures have not had a beneficial action.
Tablets are administered with water, as much as possible after a meal.
It is good to drink 1/2 or 1 glass of water after administration. Aspirin should not be administered after the expiration of the validity period.
Precautions:
Patients suffering from asthma, pollen allergy, adenoid vegetations or chronic infections of the respiratory system (especially when they are accompanied by disorders similar to pollen allergy), as well as patients hypersensitive to analgesics and antirheumatic drugs are at risk of seizures when taking Aspirin of asthma (asthma intolerance to analgesics). These patients are given Aspirin only on the advice of the doctor. The same is true for patients who are hypersensitive to other substances that cause allergic reactions, such as skin rashes, itching or febrile urticaria.
Aspirin is administered to children and young people with febrile illnesses only on the doctor's advice and only when other methods have not had the expected effect. If these illnesses are accompanied by prolonged vomiting, they may be symptoms of Reye's syndrome, an extremely rare but sometimes life-threatening syndrome requiring urgent medical care.
Treatment during pregnancy is done only with the doctor's approval.
With regular administration in high doses during breastfeeding, the interruption of breastfeeding should be taken into consideration.
Side effects:
- Gastric disorders,
- gastrointestinal hemorrhages;
- rarely various allergic reactions (bronchospasm, skin rashes);
- very rarely a decrease in platelets (thrombocytopenia).
- Attention to frequent and prolonged administration, in rare cases, a serious gastric hemorrhage may occur. When black stools appear, the doctor should be consulted immediately.
- In exceptional cases, with long-term administration, anemia can develop through digestive microhemorrhages.
- Overdose can cause dizziness and tinnitus in children and the elderly. In these cases, patients can contact the doctor.
- When the doses are exceeded, the value of transaminases may increase.
- Increases the effect of anticoagulant drugs (eg coumarin derivatives, heparin);
- the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding with simultaneous administration of cortisone;
- the action of the adverse effects of all non-steroidal anti-rheumatic drugs; the effect of hypoglycemic drugs (sulfonylureas);
- unwanted action of methotrexate.
- Decreases the effect of spironolactone and furosemide, drugs that favor the elimination of uric acid in the case of gout.
- It is not recommended to combine Aspirin with the above medicines without the doctor's advice.
