Description
Alugastrin is a drug that neutralizes excess hydrochloric acid in gastric juice. It does not cause excessive alkalinity of gastric juice or additional stimulation of hydrochloric acid secretion. Protects the mucous membrane of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. It helps relieve pain associated with excessive acidity of gastric juice.
Alugastrin can be used symptomatically in various ailments of the digestive system. It is indicated primarily in the case of hyperacidity of the gastric juice and in episodic gastroesophageal reflux disease, which is manifested, among other things, by: heartburn, acid belching and regurgitation of stomach contents into the esophagus. Alugastrin can also be used for gastric and duodenal mucosal lesions caused by ulcerogenic factors. An example of such a factor is the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which are commonly used as pain relievers and anti-inflammatory drugs, especially for colds.
However, please note that if after 14 days in adults or 7 days in children there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, it is necessary to consult a doctor. The doctor will be able to assess the situation, diagnose the problem and possibly recommend additional actions or a change in therapy.
