Cistus ( Cistus incanus L.) is an evergreen shrub belonging to the Cistaceae family. This plant has characteristic light green leaves and white, pink or purple flowers that bloom from spring to summer. The Cistus plant has been traditionally used in Middle Eastern countries. Usually, the above-ground parts of the plant are used: flowers, leaves, stems in the form of infusions.
