Product obtained biotechnologically from vegetable sources through fermentation processes. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in different areas of the human body: skin, joint fluids, connective tissues. It is a glycosaminoglycan, one of the most important extracellular elements besides elastin and collagen.
Hyaluronic acid has the ability to attract and retain a large amount of water, this ability, among other things, gives volume and elasticity to the skin. With advancing age, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin gradually decreases. Hyaluronic acid applied to the skin does not penetrate deep and does not replace the hyaluronic acid present in the body.
As a cosmetic active, hyaluronic acid is appreciated for its exceptional ability to retain and attract water, it is moisturizing and humectant, it helps to redensify, uniform and smooth the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Hyaluronic acid with high molecular mass 1.0 - 1.6 MDa - comes in the form of a fluffier and slightly granulated powder, it penetrates superficially into the skin, maintains optimal hydration of the skin, forms a protective and tensor film; has a gelling effect.

Properties of hyaluronic acid:

How it is used in cosmetics:

- indicative dosage: 0.1 - 1%;
- it is soluble in water, insoluble in oils;
- as an ingredient in the preparation of cosmetics, added at no more than 40°C, in emulsions it is added at the final stage;
- hyaluronic acid can be added as an ingredient in compositions such as: creams, serums, lotions, toners, gels, masks;
- it can be included in a cream base.

Mode of operation:
If a watery toner, gel or serum is being prepared, the hyaluronic acid is gradually sprinkled over the water, which meanwhile is vigorously mixed, either with a whisk or with the mixer. Homogenization continues until complete dispersion. If some granules or "clouds" remain undissolved, they will disperse in a short time (the HMW variant tends to form agglomerations, insist on mixing the composition until they disperse);
When added to an emulsified cream, hyaluronic acid is sprinkled over the composition in the final phase and thoroughly mixed, until a homogeneous preparation is obtained;
As an ingredient in a cream base, it is added cold. Sprinkle gradually over the composition and mix thoroughly.
